My Practice and Therapeutic Approaches

We will work together to form goals and design a treatment plan that is most efficient and effective. I am practical and considerate of your time and resources. In order to help clients reach their goals I implement a number of therapeutic techniques in accordance with individual’s needs. I strive to provide the most current and successful treatments, tailored to meet your goals and personal needs. Here are some of the therapeutic approaches that I use:

I offer short and long-term therapy for individuals and couples:

The goal of short-term therapy is to tackle an isolated difficulty, often an urgent one, such as a relationship break up; a crisis at work, at school or in personal life. Its aim is to reduce distressing feelings and help you cope and function better.

Long-term therapy offers a more in-depth understanding of a problem, often based on how feelings in the present are related to past experiences. A comprehensive understanding of your underlying issues can bring about deeper, lasting changes and give you tools to cope better in the future.

I am interested in clients who want to:

  • Successfully navigate life transitions, adjustments, and/or choices
  • Decrease anxiety, depression or unwanted thoughts
  • Work through past traumatic experiences
  • Improve relationships and/or enhance one's interpersonal effectiveness
  • Cope with chronic health problems
  • Increase overall life satisfaction and energy level
  • Change or alter counterproductive behaviors (e.g. overeating, procrastination)
  • Work towards balanced lifestyle
  • Cultivate a deeper self-understanding and self-reflection
